Assisted living facilities provide their residents with the maximum independence in their lives. We make the facilities comfortable and cosy, and safety and ease of use are taken into consideration in their functioning.
We have built an assisted living facility in the serene scenery of Äänekoski for Attendo Oy. The project was implemented as Lehto’s turnkey contract in Suolahti, Äänekoski. The property is a two-storey retirement home for 40 residents in the centre of the village, close to the harbour. The floor area of the building is 1,563 m2. There are shops and residential high-rise buildings along the main street of Suolahti in the immediate vicinity of the assisted living facility. A serene side yard was also built in the assisted living facility.
The façade of the building, which has a concrete frame, is timber with a rendered timber element. The façade of the assisted living facility, which has a felt roof, is yellowish white, half of which is dark Cembrit board. Each room has a window of its own, adding light and a sense of spaciousness.
The details were designed to increase the safety and comfort of the residents and personnel. Visitors have also been taken into consideration in the layout. Spacious and well-lit facilities provide good opportunities for comfortable and stimulating activities.
The site was delivered to the satisfied customer with 0 defects in October 2018. In a zero-defect delivery, the building was delivered without defects or shortcomings. In fact, this project is an apt example of the reliable and high-quality handprint of Lehto’s Social care and educational premises unit, with which the customer was satisfied.
This two-storey assisted living facility was implemented within approximately a year from design to the delivery phase. The actual construction phase lasted for approximately 11 months. The efficient project phase was a result of our strong grip on construction and the fact that we utilised our own concept and experience in constructing nursing homes in this project. The efficient project phase was also made possible by our in-house module production that increases the reliability and speed of construction.
We utilised our in-house bathroom and wall elements in the construction phase, ensuring improved damp-management and increasing the quality of construction.
