A significant investment in sports

“We now have a new sports arena in Äänekoski that is everything we had hoped for. The new facilities have a significant positive impact on the recreational and sporting opportunities of children, young people and adults alike. We also get users from the surrounding region, not just Äänekoski. Pankkari Areena hosts high-level basketball games and it really is a great venue for that. We are very satisfied with the arena’s versatile and adaptable space as well as Lehto’s turnkey design and construction service.” Matti Tuononen, Mayor of Äänekoski

Large roof elements expedited the on-site construction stage

Lehto’s own prefabrication resources were used to build Pankkari’s roof structures. The arena’s roof structures are made from Lehto’s large roof elements, which are manufactured at our production plants in Finland.

The large roof elements are built in controlled and dry factory conditions and subsequently transported in packages to the construction site for installation. Prefabrication expedites the on-site construction stage, improves quality and ensures an unbroken dry supply chain.
